Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Iain R — 19 Nov 2008
The lowest point of the Connery entries, Diamonds features some of the most off-the-wall lines and characters of any Bond film. Gray isn't a very good Blofeld - plus, Blofeld wants to bring the world to peace through disarmament?!? Huh?! He's a terrorist.
And he's in drag?!? Also, the inclusion of Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd, while funny, also serves as a fairly large reminder that there have been no gay characters in any Bond film since... And in this one they were some of the cruelest bad guys.
