Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Sam F — 25 Apr 2009
While it's good that Connery actually seems like he gives a shit in this one, it's just way too ridiculous to be completely enjoyed. First of all, they spend so much time in previous movies setting up that SPECTRE is a massive organization with many different Lead Villains, they spend too much time on Blofeld in this way.
He's way too accessible. I liked the humanity Lazenby put into Bond, as well, is was kind of a shame going back to a one note character.
