Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Adam S — 06 Dec 2014
By far, Connery's weakest outing as Bond (not counting Never Say Never Again), and it does spit in the face of Blofeld to great lengths, with a reasonably bad casting and a rather complicated plot to boot.
However, the film is still enjoyable, with a relatively devoted performance from Sean Connery, who has shown that he wasn't in it for the money, the dialogue is surprisingly brilliant albeit humorous at some times, and the stunts remain eye-catching.
This diamond may not last forever, but it is a gem of its own.
