Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Jasjot S — 21 Dec 2014
After You Only Live Twice Sean Connery left the franchise and we got George Lazenby in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (a movie I haven't seen yet), however after that movie Sean Connery returned and we got Diamonds are Forever.
Just like Thunderball and You Only Live Twice this film is ok. Sean Connery looks bored as hell and very tired, giving probably his worst peformance as Bond. The action is decent, the rest of the acting is ok, in fact we get a pretty good girl in Tiffany Case.
Blofeld is back, but this time we get a new actor in Charles Gray. He's good but not as good as the actor playing Blofeld in the previous movies. We also get two gay assassins as our henchman who are fine, nothing remarkable but worthy henchmen.
Overall the film is fine, it's nothing special and it's kind of a pathetic movie for Connery to end on but it's a decent Bond film with some fun parts. B-.
