Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Daniel S — 10 Jun 2010
If it's an action movie, Diamonds are Forever fails to excite. If it's a comedy, it fails to get laughs. And if it's a Bond film, it just fails. Connery sleepwalks through every scene, Charles Gray ruins Blofeld forever, the tone of the film is awkward in its attempts at humor, and a quite good elevator fight and Las Vegas car-chase are the only distractions in this cinematic doldrums.
