Review of Dial M for Murder (1981) by Greg T — 22 Feb 2009
One of Hitchcock's more stagy films relies on a rather unlikely situation and a selection of rather unpleasant individuals. The set-pieces, as ever, are exemplary with the murder-scene more imbued with tension and more unpleasant than a thousand slasher films.
But for examples of the master on his finest form, it's best to look elsewhere.
