Review of Dial M for Murder (1981) by Coley G — 09 Feb 2012
Intense character drama is the driving force behind this suspenseful Alfred Hitchcock film. Ray Millard plays a devilish tennis ace who carefully plots the murder of his wife (Grace Kelly) under the nose of her old flame (Robert Cummings).
The bit with the scissors is classic Hitchcock, but it's the acting that makes this movie work. Millard in particular portrays a standout villain.
