Hitchcock is a genius in crafting suspense despite you know the main direction of its plot. You will just never know the every detail till the end. For example, considering Ray Milland's treatment of the scarf, you could hardly think of a plausible explanation until Hitchcock reveals it himself.
A good suspenseful thriller.
