Review of Dial M for Murder (1981) by Drew R — 02 Sep 2014
A man wants to kill his wife after he discovers her affair, and blackmails an old acquaintance into committing the crime, since that guy would not be a suspect, and the man could have an alibi. But the wife kills the guy in self defense, and it becomes a game of trying to uncover the truth or hide it (in the husbands case).
The score is pretty weak, not like the great Hermann of Hitchcock's later features. It isn't Hitchcock's best film, but it is pretty good.
