Review of Dial M for Murder (1954) by Steve S — 04 Dec 2010
*** (out of four).
Even a lesser Alfred Hitchcock thriller still offers some sweet rewards and nice scene chewing performances. "Dial M for Murder" isn't among Hitch's best, but is worth a look nonetheless.
Ray Milland plays a former tennis pro who wants to have his wife (Grace Kelly) killed after he learns that she is having an affair with an american journalist (Robert Cummings).
Adapted from a popular stage play of the time, the film maintains its stage presence with only a couple of loactions.
