Review of Dial M for Murder (1954) by Chris S — 12 Jul 2008
It's another masterpiece from director Alfred Hitchcock. Murders aren't always as perfect as the ones in mystery novels and other thriller films, and there is bound to be some flaw and mistake in it.
In this film, things don't go according to plan. The anti-hero is despicable, and the secret lovers and the detective are characters to care for. Until the end, the audience would want the real heroes to finally catch the real murderer so badly.
