Review of Dhoom 3 (2013) by Aseem J — 26 Dec 2013
Dhoom 3 : Watch it for Aamir and some nice visual experience...
To start with, the action sequences shown in first 40 min were so illogical that I started feeling cheated. BMW riding on rope while Abhishek driving auto on roofs and doing some most illogical stunts this world will ever see, Aamir bike transforming into water ride as if he is playing the role or James Bond or Batman.
But then nearing interval movie started digging more deeply into emotions and some really fantastic visuals (Malang song) and what Aamir does best "Acting".
After interval its Aamir and Aamir and no other. He shadows every other stars with his solid performance.
Also I would really appreciate the cinematography and details.
The action scenes are also shot with great detailing, only if they could have designed them a bit logical, it would have been best action movie of india.
Hats off to Aamir he is so sincere and dedicated to his character that after interval I was lost in his acting and emotions of the character "Sahir" that I wanted no more actions from a franchise like Dhoom and I wanted 2 see more and more of "Sahir". That's the power of acting.
Abhishek acts same as Dhoom 1.
Uday is a relief and gives us some moments of laugh.. he has done good job..
Kat only knows 3-4 dance steps and she performs all the steps of jab tak hai jaan once again. Thank God director gave him only only 15 -20 min of screen timing which was more than enough.
Jackie Shroff did justice to his short but important role. Songs are not upto the mark.
It is really worth watching in theaters for it is a visual treat.
On the whole it's 3.5/5 but for Aamir's performance, I will go with 4/5..
