Review of Devil's Due (2014) by Vivi W — 17 Jan 2014
C+.
Devils Due is the latest FF horror film which isn't as bad as many people have been saying. Starting off you get to know this couple, Sam and Zach who have great chemistry together, they take a trip to the Dominica Republic for their honey moon. After a night of partying they meet up with a taxi driver who takes them to some underground party and that's when the film gets really interesting. The films main problem was that it wasn't scary. Thrilling at times, and even creepy, but not scary. The acting is actually very good with two likable leads, but I think the film would have been better shot the traditional way rather than FF. Lots of weird crazy stuff happens throughout, especially towards the end of the film like most FF films. Overall, the film had two great lead actors, and it had a crazy finale, but I was never really scared and I kinda wanted more. The film does end in a way to where they could do sequel, which I highly doubt will happen due to poor reviews, I guess we will have to wait and see!
