I had a truly unique experience when watching Devil's Due. I was in the cinema, on my own.I don't mean I went on my own, I mean I was the only one in the cinema, in a large dark room, watching a horror film on a 30 foot screen, on my own.
I was prepared to be the most scared I have ever been. Unfortunately, Devil's Due wasn't quite up to it. I will admit that I was frequently tense, but the film really had very little to offer in terms of genuine scares.
It had a few nice ideas, and the main couple in the film are both very likeable, but there were simply too many clichés for there to be any real surprises.
