Review of Devil in a Blue Dress (1995) by Donald F — 03 Jun 2007
I just saw this film in my film noir class. Denzel Washington is great as always, enthralling the audience as he gets pulled deeper into political intrigue. The film is also a great critique on institutionalized racism.
Tom Sizemore is delightfully evil ? when confronting a guy who was beating on Denzel's character, he's asked what he wants. Putting the gun to the guy's head, he said "I want to see your brains".
Don Cheadle is also great (when is he not?) as Denzel's hilariously psychotic gunman friend. Very intriguing film, and also very underrated.
