Review of Devil in a Blue Dress (1995) by Danette/Dani A — 28 Mar 2009
Another fine Carl Franklin film. I am not a fan of the classic film noir story, which tends to be mainly cerebral and rather cold. The racial dynamic of this story is fascinating and adds a whole new emotional level to the complicated plot.
Franklin's direction is as self-assured as any A-list director working today.
