I guess this script wasn't grandiose enough for Shyamalan to direct it himself. This is probably a good thing because it's the best thing he's been involved with since "The Sixth Sense".

That said, the implausible premise is best suited for a shorter form ... part of an anthology film or an episode of a TV show. As a feature film, this ridiculously scant story wears out its welcome after about 20 minutes.
