Review of Devdas (2002) by Vimal M — 20 Sep 2007
An oldie but a goodie-Devdas is what Bollywood is all about (when they decide to make worthy movies).
Sharukh khan and Ashwariya Rai-Bachan star in the remake of Devdas-a love story all romeo and juilet fans should watch. With a big budget, larger than life sets and fab acting this movie has it all. The dance scenes are timeless-the film maybe five years old but the songs from this film still seem fresh. And for all Bollywood die-hard fans the cherry on the cake is none other than the original Bollywood queen-all hail Madhuri Dixit.
If anyone wants to sample a slice of what Bollywood really has to offer this is it-this is the cherry on top of that lovely iced cake that is the cinema of india.
There's something for everyone-glamourous costumes, music, a plot, dance scenes, some eye candy and a tragic ending to get you weeping.
A must for all bollywood nutters of King Khan worshippers.
