Review of Devdas (2002) by Pierre-Alexandre B — 17 Sep 2008
To say that this movie is the Indian version of Romeo and Juliet is doing the film a lot of disservice. Sure there are similarities in the story line but Devdas is far richer and more intricate. And in true Bollywood style, music is incorporated in the film that is both beautiful and complex.
Having Aishwarya Rai as one of the leads just added more beauty to this already fine looking film.
