Review of Detroit Rock City (1999) by Mike N — 08 Jan 2010

I was 8 years old in 1978 - when this story is set - and I remember a lot of the cultural images and icons of that era before they all became ironic for hipsters to consume. so for me this movie is a little trip down memory lane.

there's not much to this story, it's about some teenagers coming of age and trying to see a kiss concert, but it's good fun. great soundtrack - really captures the late 70s sound.
