Although it lacks any real substance and has performances that come off slightly unimpressive, this movie makes up for that with the director establishing a cultural identity that can be quite appealing.
Some viewers can enjoy little references made to Kiss, as well as other events during the height of their popularity in the late 1970s. With that in mind, die hard members of the Kiss Army can look forward to watching "Detroit Rock City.
