Review of Detroit Rock City (1999) by Devon D — 16 Aug 2010
Was it great, no. Was it predictable, yes. However was it enjoyable, boy it was a damn good time. This movie from start to finish was good to watch, and being a die-hard KISS fan, I loved every minute of these fan's experiences.
The movie put a smile on my face, and I see now why it is a cult classic. Jeremiah's mom is a scene stealer, and so is Trip. His experiences throughout the story are plain out hilarious, and he may be one of the greatest characters in any movie.
Do some of the other characters get annoying and dull at some points, maybe, but still Trip and Jem's mother carry the plot the whole way through. Thumbs up to executive producer Gene Simmons, we wanted the best and we got the best.
