Review of Detroit (2017) by Justfizz Y — 11 Sep 2017
Ladies and gentlemen I give you Will Poulter. This actor portrays a racist Detroit Cop who is enabled to terrorize a group of innocent people during the 1967 Detroit riots . By the time the movie has progressed to the aftermath of the riots and the subsequent trials I was furiously constructing a senario about, if I were one of his victims in the movie ,how I could put a bullet on his head with a sniper rifle.
I left the movie talking to myself in the lobby. When I emerged for the theater and the sunlight hit my face I remembered , it's a movie....... But what about he actual people who experienced this stuff.
To end. Will Poulter describes his preformance as having to go to a dark place, and it's comforting to know that the Black Panthers were well on their way by 1966.
