Review of Detroit (2017) by Willy R — 07 Aug 2017
Coming from Detroit, and remembering this era in time, the movie struck a deep chord. The riots caused a deeper decide in a city struggling to find racial harmony. The acting and camera work put you at the center of action at the Algiers Hotel.
You find yourself sympathizing with the victims of the riot and out of control police. While I don't agree with all representations made in the movie, it projects a mostly accurate picture of DetroitPolice and the citizens they were supposed to be serving in 1967.
