Review of Detroit (2017) by Cole L — 03 Aug 2017
Detroit was as choppy and disturbing as a angsty self harming sou chef. This movie left me more disappointed than the kid from the Christmas avocado video. The worst part was, like the avocado kid, I had to act like I actually liked this random piece of trash so I wouldn't get shanked by the person next to me for being a "racist bastard.
" This director took a nearly unbearable event in American history and made fully unbearable to watch on the big screen. The moment the white "prostitutes" entered the story 20 minutes in, I knew we were in a downward trajectory.
Not a good feeling to have knowing you have 120 minutes left before the credits roll and you finally get to find out how much of this scarring and unbearable bull shit actually happened. Spoiler...basically all of it.
White people suck, we get it. We don't need to watch the least enjoyable movie of all time to remember. Donald Trump is president. Just stop.
