I didn't think it was pretentious at all. If you were to sit back and watch this movie, listen to what was being said instead of criticizing what you can't relate to from your couch, feel the helplessness of our own economic stucture, the struggle every american goes through in one form or another you would understand this movie.
'..but it doesn't offer any solutions to it's passionate ranting.' Well, neither does life.
