Though it lacks some of the freshness of the first two movies, this latest installment still has its entertaining moments, thanks to a talented voice cast, colorful animation and the zany and funny antics of the minions.
The movie does suffer from a scattershot narrative that goes off in too many different directions, which lacks the focus that the first two installments had. Carrell and Wiig continue to make an enjoyable team.
Despite its uneven storytelling, there are still some winning moments.
