I took my 5-year-old to it and he loved it. That's who the film is for, right? Yeah - it works perfectly for that age group. In the mean-time - I'm in my 40s (which means I grew up in the 80s) and I found myself thoroughly enjoying the way in which all the 80s references were handled. Very clever and entirely not over the top (unlike, for instance, Ready Player One).

In fairness, I haven't seen the first two, so I can't argue with those who claim that this is the worst of the series, but I find that critique highly dubious.
