Review of Despicable Me 3 (2017) by Jordan J — 29 Jun 2017

WANT TO SEE REVIEW: The reason why minions wasn't good was because the minions are only good as side characters. Now this will have gru and everyone else back in their own place so this should be good. The first trailer only made me laugh once but it looks like they're saving the funny parts. I say this because they keep showing a tiny bit more funny scenes in each trailer. I'm really expecting a lot from this movie. It certainly looks better than minions. Hopefully the movie keeps a good score. It's 86% at the time I'm writing this.

MOVIE REVIEW: Despicable Me 3 was actually pretty good. I didn't think it was as good as the first two movies but this was definitely a step up from Minions. It's nice to see the group of characters to come back. This really did show how well they can hold the movie together. This movie worked better than minions because the characters can hold the movie. The minions can't hold their own movie together. Even though the minions can't hold a movie together without these characters, they really do bring some laugh out loud moments. The minions can bring some life to this movie. One problem I found with this movie was just that it was overstuffed. There were a couple of subplots and at times too much going on. And some of the subplots don't go very far. In the end the subplots do manage to stick together with the main storyline though. The new villain in this movie was pretty funny. He brought some new things to the table. Overall I don't think this movie was great like Despicable Me 1 & 2, but this movie really did have some good moments. This movie really showed how important it is to keep the main characters in place. Because, without the main characters, we end up with the Minions movie( which I didn't think was too bad ). I'm just going to give this movie a B.

SPOILER ALERT: I don't think I really want to see another Despicable Me movie in a while because now it's starting to get a little old, but one scene in this movie really gave me an idea for Minions 2. Yes they are making a Minions 2. The minions leave Gru and try to find a new master. They end getting into a singing competition and go to jail. Mel, the minion that was pretty much the minion leader, was thinking of Gru. He had flashbacks about how Gru took car of him. Assuming Gru did the same for all the other Minions, Minions 2 could be where the first Minions left off. The minions could be with Gru during his child hood. This could also show how Mel had those flashbacks. Minions 2 could be how Gru grew up with the minions.
