Review of Despicable Me (2010) by Sam Q — 05 Jan 2014
Worse than the first, but still a fun movie to watch.
The good: A light hearted movie that tugs at the heart strings at certain moments. There are scenes that are pure joy, and the interaction between Carell and the kids makes even a hardened soul like me misty eyed.
The bad: I didn't really like the story. It wasn't original and it didn't leave me desiring more as much as the first film did.
All in all, a good, easy to watch film for adults and kids alike.
