Review of Despicable Me (2010) by Skyview B — 24 Jan 2014
The movie is about an evil villain (Gru) who tries to steal important things and he plans to steal the moon so he adopts 3 girls (Marog, Edith, Agnis) to help him get a shrink ray. He also tries to be better than another villain(Vector).
The great pyramid in Egypt was stolen by Vector. Gru decides to be the best villain ever and steal the moon, but in the process he has to steal a shrink ray. Once he steals it vector steals it, then he steals it back using 3 girls. He becomes annoyed with the girls but then he warms up to them. He later sets off to get the moon and try to make it to the girls dance recital.
The theme could be you can grow a relationship with someone from the tiniest things. Gru was only using the kids but them grew a close relationship.
The set design was very unique and creative. Such as Grus house on the outside and inside. At vectors house it was very fancy but unusual.
I think that the reader should see this movie because it's a great comedy and a wonderful plot. The characters are each unique and creative in different ways. The movie really gives you those sad moments, hilarious actions and jumpy scenes which makes the movie even better.
