Review of Desperately Seeking Susan (1985) by Andrew K — 05 Nov 2010
A nice spin on the mistaken identity genre of movies. I appreciate the atmosphere and the tone set from the beginning. The characters are very likable and quirky with great performances by our two leading ladies.
This truly is an 80's flick. I can see this as a movie in the future if you return to it, you'll notice things you missed with each previous viewing. With all the praise I give this, there are some faults to be said though.
It loses momentum in the third act and is plagued by the 80's cliche of jerk police officers, but all things considered, this is great movie to throw in if you just want to kick back and have some retro fun.
