Review of Desperado (1995) by Bill B — 11 May 2011
Gave this one a re-watch and can happily report that it holds up every but as well as I expected it to. I may be sliding on a bit of nostalgia with this one, but I have a ton of fond memories of discovering this with friends, and watching it recently really brought me back to that time in my life.
A slicker and better financed version of the previous film, this amps everything up and makes good on the promises of style and storytelling that Rodriguez hinted at with El Mariachi.
Well worth owning.
