Review of Desperado (1995) by Brett H — 26 Aug 2013
Basically a loose remake of El Mariachi (similar to what Sam Raimi did with Evil Dead 2) that features far crazier action sequences and a break-out role from Antonio Banderas. The film is just ludicrous and god-mode is basically on for the Mariachi, but it is a spectacle to behold.
There's not much plot so it's very accessible and there's great supporting roles from Steve Buscemi and Quentin Tarantino, but it's pretty much a nonsense film.
