Review of Desperado (1995) by Guido S — 11 Jan 2014
Antonio Banderas is out for revenge on Bucho who killed his girlfriend. Banderas sends Steve Buscemi to a bar to spook a local bartender with a glorified story of himself. So when Banderas does come in, they aren't too impressed.
Later, Tarantino comes in and tells a funny story of a bet of pissing all over the bar. After that point, the film kind of gets a little too dull for my tastes. Hayek is looking good as always, but this just wasn't as fun and entertaining as I remember it being when I first saw it.
Feels like it just doesn't have the legs int he second half of the film to carry it for multiple viewings. It's good, just not as good as I remember it.
