If you can't see the humour in the outrageous gunfights then don't watch it. It is pretty funny though and the start with Steve Buscemi narrating is a good laugh. As for the rest of the film, overdone but on purpose for comic effect which works.
Love scene a bit pointless though. Ridiculous plot and an enjoyable romp.
