Much of what works to the film's advantage includes some thrilling action sequences, pretty great editing from the director, and of course the strong performances of the film's two leads. We have Antonio Banderas as the Mariachi, who is one major bad ass.
And of course, Salma Hayek looks very stunning here as the love interest. If I had to name a favorite Robert Rodriguez movie, this may possibly have to be it.
