Review of Desert Hearts (1985) by Darren G — 04 Oct 2007
I admit - a big reason why I saw this film way back in the early '90s was because of the promise of hot lesbian action (and I wasn't disappointed - oh, gosh).
There was another genuine reason, though - what was a movie about a lesbian love story like? My early-20s self had never seen such a film, and I was curious.
As it turned out, I liked 'Desert Hearts' for both the sex and the tender romance.
WARNING - SPOILER ALERT.
As I mentioned above, the sex scenes were great - but the two most powerfully erotic moments I have remembered the most from 'Desert Hearts' was (a) when a storm-soaked Cay leaned in through the car window and kissed a startled Vivian, and (b) when Cay got on the train with Vivian at the end (oh, what that promised...).
