Review of Desert Flower (2009) by Fa B — 10 Apr 2010
This is one amazing, inspiring, beautiful and also sad movie and I really enjoyed it. The story is based on the novel by Waris Dirie, which tells her life story. It's just amazing to see what this women achieved in her life, although she went through genital mutilation and other difficult situations.
I think Liya Kebede was a perfect choice to play Waris Dirie, because I know her as a top model and I was pleasantly surprised to see that she can act this well!
It's a pity that this movie didn't get a lot of attention in the media, because personally I think that everyone should watch it.
