Review of Descent (2007) by Jamie I — 25 Jun 2016

Let me preface this by saying fuck movies like Saw 1 through 1,000,000 and all other so-called horror movies that attempt to scare you with a ridiculously large gore factor. Let me also preface this by saying fuck spelunking.

 Hanging around in the dark and crawling through tiny tunnels not for me thanks.  I think that's what makes this movie so terrifying.  About fifty minutes into this film prepare to wet yourself.

 I held onto a pillow and my puppy for the remainder of this movie.  It's been over for about fifteen minutes now and my heart is still beating quite rapidly.  And the ending, oh god, the ending is the one the director planned from the beginning not the one shown in weak American theaters.

 If you like scary movies that set out to actually scare you rather than gross you out then you must see this.  Seriously, see it.  However, you might not want to watch this alone.  Watch it with your puppy or something.
