A very dark claustrophobic horror film from director Neil Marshall. The Descent is a film about a group of girls enter a cave for an adventure. But soon deep within the caves there is something lurking deep within the caves and they must escape before they get killed one by one.

The Descent is an intense claustrophobic dark horror/thriller filled with lots of scares, jumps and tension. Director Neil Marshall went from a different direction of his films from Dog Soldier he was doing good because his film was about to go over the top and now in The Descent he even went to the top and it is even bigger, badder, better and scarier than ever.

One of the great things about this film is that the atmosphere is really dark and really claustrophobic. The whole movie is intense and claustrophobic than most horror films. And more importantly the creatures are really freaky and scary.

The film itself is filled with more jumps and scares and the violence is incredibly gruesome and intense. This is one of the greatest horror films in 2006. Since the movie is really suspenceful and intense this film is filled with lots of non stop suspense and crazy and scary moments.

The acting is also good the girls in the film did a really good job with their acting as well. Overall I would give this film a 10/10 because the whole movie is claustrophobic, intense, scary, creepy, thrilling and dark as well.
