Review of Descent (2005) by Josh G — 29 Apr 2011
There have been many British horror movies over the past few years; some good, like Eden Lake and The Hole, and some bad, like Dog Soldires.
This is, in my opinion, one of the greatest British horror movies, of ALL TIME.
It uses its all female cast to create a real chemistry between the characters, who are very believable as "best friends".
Its clausterphobic atmosphere gives the film a unique and compelling edge, that most horror films seem to have begun to forget.
Full of twists and turns, the film gives scares, emotions, shocks and a phenominal, well deserved and extreamily satisfying ending, which can be seen to end the film, and also set it up for a sequel.
Over all a fantastic film, worth every penny to buy on dvd/blu-ray.
