Review of Descent (2005) by Erik B — 30 Jun 2013
It works remarkably well as a claustrophobic ride from hell, and as a separate creature feature. However, as a whole, it tends to feel a bit disjointed. Each scene plays out nicely, but the film shows us too much too early, eliminating the frankly terrifying tone it plays with at the beginning of the exposition.
That being said, it's still a pretty damn good horror movie. I'm sure I'll like it even more the next time I see it.
