Review of Derrida (2002) by Yvonne B — 06 Aug 2008
I was very disappointed in this documentary. I was hoping it would provide some insite into the mind of one of the most brilliant men of this century. Beyond the ridiculious questioning, the soundtrack was horrible, the voiceover was annoying and why anyone would include a scene where someone is answering a question while being miked is beyond me.
I have a feeling that many of the best moments captured were left on the cutting room floor. It's ashame that this is the only documentary on the man. Perhaps this is a lesson on what NOT to do.
