Review of Derailed (2002) by Tom P — 19 Jun 2008
Clive Owen and Jenifer Anniston are trust together when to disgruntled professional married people give into lust when they meet on a train and get more than they bargained for. the pairing between the two main actors lacks any chemistry and Owens accent is curious but the plot thickens and the villian is creepy and full of menace - steals the acting awards here.
You get the plot early on if you've watched these type of films before.
The shot that seems to say nothing but is the directors little tease to whats really going on. from there in it plays out well , how does Owen get out from the blackmailing clutches of his nemesis ? its a knife edge ride and for all its lapses it is well worth a watch and I'd rate it as a 7 out of ten. Anniston looks hot as usual and its nice to see that Owen is being taken seriously by Hollywood.
Check it out.
