Review of Derailed (2002) by Gary B — 14 Aug 2010
This movie turned out to be a pretty good thriller. It has a kick in the nuts storyline that's good when you have Clive Owen.
Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston are about to both have an affair with eachother until they get mugged, and just when they both think the nightmare is over, the mugger begins to blackmail Clive Owen. Blackmail is deffenetly something that anyone can be affraid of because we can fall victum to our own guilt. This movie's all about that, and it's done in a great way because Clive Owen plays such a likeable character who you just wanna root on for him to end his nightmare. Jennifer Aniston also does a good job. And Vincent Cassel always plays a good creeper character.
The film is dark in colour. Not a lot of shades of anything besides bleakness, as is the mood of the movie. This movie was done like a good thriller should be done.
I liked this movie. It's not the kind of movie that has a name out there for being something different or defining, but If you're into suspence thrillers then this movie is good to check out.
