Review of Denial (2016) by Mike M — 05 Oct 2016
A bit slow, but another film based on true events and it involved something in fairly recent history that I wasn't aware of. This film had a few powerful moments but overall just didn't keep me enthralled.
(Speaking of things I was never aware of, my uncle, my mother's oldest brother, who fought in the army in WWII in the pacific, was a holocaust denier. I'm so glad that I never learned that about him until after his death although it would have been interesting to know where those beliefs stemmed from.
) I don't know if it was a fault of the theater itself or what was the matter, but the film was very dark in contrast and very hard to see. A few of us commented on this afterwards.
