While Gerard Butler's performance in Den of thieves was impressive, the movie's final payoff took a long time coming. A long, long time. When you find yourself fast forwarding through a major shootout you know there's something missing.
Body armor, automatic weapons, yada, yada. There were simply too many elements in the film I had to call BS on. The film had a lot of great performances that got lost in disconnects and roads to nowhere moments.
A movie should give you enough to make you want to believe, not dispute.
