Demon seed isn't a very well made film, the camera wanders in the wrong direction when characters are talking, jumpy pan's down to the lack of a steady cam, ect ect. but! as an entertaining piece of 70's horror it works.

proteus the rapist robot is absolutely horrifying. julie christie pretty much carries the film on her own. the phsycadelic imagery used to create protease's mind is a lovely touch, and real sets the whole gritty 70's vibe.

not bad.
