Review of Demon Seed (1977) by Andrew P — 12 Dec 2006
Perhaps it's a lack of budget that's the problem or just a story that isn't as developed as it needed to be, but this sci-fi horror concoction passes with only slight success. As the super computer takes over the house, it's clear fairly early on what its goal is, and the scene in the middle where it puts its plan into action is quite disturbing.
But the rest of the film is wasted with Julie Christie exhausted from trying to outsmart said computer. After a while it just makes the viewer exhausted.
